For non-boaters, there are many other activities to enjoy. We have tennis courts with an on-site tennis pro offering special prices on lessons to our members, a reciprocal agreement with a local fitness club for discounts on membership, special events weekly from bingo to black tie, murder mysteries to Mah Jongg, bridge, canasta, and a singles group - just to name a few. Plus, we have reciprocal privileges with several golf clubs locally for both seasonal and year-round enjoyment.
All ladies are automatically members of Harbor Lites, our ladies auxiliary group. They offer informative monthly meetings and luncheons, plus special trips and fund-raising events for the club. All gentlemen are automatically members of the men's auxiliary group, the Harbormasters. Sponsoring many annual activities geared at fund-raising projects for the club, this group also hosts weekly casual Wednesday dinners during the summer months.
Membership at CHYC includes year-round reciprocity at 36 clubs in the State of Florida, as well as several hundred other clubs nationwide, for both boating and dining.

CLUB PARTIES
Change of Watch
Our Annual Change of Watch takes place in the month of January and celebrates the induction of new Bridge Officers and Board of Directors. The Ship’s bell sounds the official beginning of the New Watch at a formal Dinner Dance, and Bridge officers receive their official flags.
Cruise Fever Party
Every year the kickoff of the Cruise schedule begins with a theme oriented, nautical evening of food, fun and friends. You can expect anything from a cruise ship, to island hopping, to ship races. It’s always a great time for everyone, and you’re never quite sure what you’ll see when the members come out for fun.
Candlelight Ball
To celebrate the Valentine’s holiday, CHYC hosts the annual Candlelight Ball, an evening of elegance, fine food, wines and entertainment in a black-tie affair. We have even offered members an opportunity to renew their vows with our Fleet Chaplain.
Commodore’s Ball
Our celebration of appreciation for the hard work and time put forth by the Commodore and his/her spouse. The Board members put this elegant affair together to honor and thank them for their year of service.
Trim A Giving Tree Party
Every year, CHYC selects a local charity to sponsor, and the members come out in force to help and support needy children at Christmastime. Toys, gifts and monetary donations are contributed to our friends who need us most at this most giving time of the year. It’s not unusual to see several hundred gifts under the tree.
Commodore’s Holiday Cheer
Every year, our Commodore invites all the members of the Club to a Holiday reception, complete with Eggnog, light snacks and holiday cheer.
New Year’s Eve Gala
Everyone comes out to celebrate the New Year at CHYC. It’s an evening of celebration, incredible culinary talent by the Chef, Kitchen and Dining Room staff, and great entertainment for all at this formal evening affair.
